Notice: Setting Out Trash in a Timely Manner (Click for More Information)

As a friendly reminder to all our residents, the Township would like to notify everyone that trash is allowed to be set out as early as 6 PM on the day before your pickup, but no later than 6 AM on the day of your pickup. To ensure that your trash does not get missed, we highly advise that you set your trash cans and bags (and on recycling weeks your recycling bins and bags) out by the curb in the evening on the day before your pickup (e.g. if your trash is collected on Monday, set it out Sunday night as early as 6 PM, set out Tuesday collections on Monday night, etc.).

While you can set your trash and recycling out in the morning, this may increase your chances of having your trash or recycling not collected that week as Republic Waste’s drivers progress through their routes if they have a new driver on a route for that week, if they need to start early or change their routes based on construction or a sick absence, or other circumstances that can arise even on a regular collection week. Republic Waste does make a note of properties that do not have trash out for collection when the driver is at the property, which means that the driver or route manager is not obligated to return to the site and collect trash that is set out late, though if time and availability permits they may do so as a courtesy. Please keep this in mind to ensure that your trash and recycling is collected with no difficulty to the driver and no hassle for you, and thank you for doing your part to keep Collier beautiful!
