State Route 3052 (Washington Pike to Thoms Run Road) Road Work Begins on June 23rd, End Date Estimated for the End of November (Click for More Information)

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that major road improvements contracted out to Mele & Mele & Sons Inc. will begin around June 23, 2025, along State Road 3052, which will include Collier Avenue from Washington Pike in Heidelberg and Hilltop Road to Thoms Run Road in Collier Township. Improvements will include upgrades to the utilities, slope and erosion repairs, replacing the guide rails, and milling and paving of the road. It is currently not known how long the work should be expected to continue, but it is expected to conclude around the end of November. The anticipated work hours will be 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Expect some single lane traffic restrictions during the work on the project. The contractor will provide flaggers for safety and signage will be posted as the work proceeds.
