With Many Americans Staying Home, Our Police Departments Continue to Serve the Community Regularly
Mutual Aid In Our Region
Recently, several local police Chiefs met to reinforce the region’s mutual aid agreement. Law enforcement leaders all agreed that they would provide essential services to any municipality faced with a manpower emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Collier will ensure that calls are answered in our and neighboring jurisdictions by one of the departments operating as a multi-agency police force if necessary. Departments will still have primary responsibilities in their respective jurisdictions but essential response to emergency calls will be covered by another department if Officers are not available in the primary jurisdiction.
The Collier Township Police Department continues to work as normal with no interruption in service. The officers are taking the necessary steps to sanitize their equipment and vehicles daily. Rest assured, if you are in need of police assistance, our officers will respond.
