  • Any type of structure intended for swimming, recreational bathing or wading, in-ground, above-ground, on-ground, hot tubs or spas, and inflatable or collapsible pools capable of containing water over 24 inches deep requires a permit and safety barriers. This includes portable and inflatable swimming pools. Installing one of these pools without property safety barriers is very dangerous to neighboring children and can result in drowning.

  • If you are unsure as to whether or not you need a permit, please contact the Township Codes Office and ask for clarification.
    Some common building projects that require a permit include:

    • Home additions
    • Decks
    • Garages
    • Fences
    • Sheds
    • Retaining Walls over 4 feet in height
    • Swimming Pools
  • Replacing downspouts, gutters, soffits, and fascia. Replacing kitchen and bath fixtures such as counters, cabinets and sinks. Roof shingles or doors and windows which are existing and do not make structural changes.

  • If you are experiencing issues with any of these utilities (water, electric, gas, cable, WIFI), you need to call the company that provides that service to you. You can also sign up for alerts on their websites. The utility websites may also list outages. If you smell gas, call 911.

Garbage & Recycling

  • Garbage and recycling should be placed at the curb after 6 p.m. on the day prior to collection and before 6 a.m. the morning of scheduled collection. Late set out will be noted by the driver and may not be picked up.

    They handle the two-sided traffic and non-traffic citations. An ADA is usually there in Monday afternoon before the 1 p.m. hearings.
