Some helpful tips when shovling your drive.

To assist the road crew with this endeavor during winter months, the Public Works Department asks that homeowners and business owners to please help by:

1. Park in your driveway during winter months. This helps our Public Works Department be more efficient with response time and completion of snow routes.
2. Plow or shovel snow to the right side of the driveway as you are facing the intersecting roadway by plowing away from the direction of oncoming snow plows. This action will prevent the bulk of the snow from being pushed back onto the driveway. Please eliminate snow piles at the driveway entrance whenever possible. Do not push snow out onto roads at any time. This creates hazardous driving conditions for all vehicles. Homeowners can be held responsible for accidents which result after snow has been shoveled onto Township maintained roads. The Township is asking the public’s cooperation by following the preceding guidelines. See guideline attached.
